![]() This wasn't what I was expecting - I thought that the originals would be on the phone itself, so I am confused as to why, when I touch up a photo, that it needs to be downloaded. Quickly convert your photos to nearly any image format 1. Strangely, when I want to use some of the iOS13 functions to enhance an image, the phone actually downloads the original. Download The Image Converter and enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Save The Image - Now that you have your upscaled and enhanced image, click Download to save the image. ![]() The options include: AI upscaling to 4X and Normal upscaling to 2X. I enabled "download originals" once I discovered that there were only thumbnails on the iPhone. Pick The Image Resolution As and when the processing of your image is done, you will see two options for the digital upscaling of your image. Whether it downloads the full resolution originals or just thumbnails depends on whether you enable Download Originals or Optimize Storage sub option of iCloud Photos in Photos on that Mac. If you enable iCloud Photos in the Photos application, it should download the photos from the cloud. I was surprised to discover that there are no export functions within iCloud to "keep" the metadata visible and that users need to turn to a 3rd party solution. Thank you for the suggestion for GraphicConverter. As you noted, Finder just shows the date that the files were added to the hard drive. I can see the metadata when I use Preview, as you suggested. I am talking about the the internal metadata. very busy family life at the moment :-) Are you talking about the creation date of the new files into which you downloaded the pictures (as shown in Finder's Get Info), or are you talking about the internal metadata (as shown in Preview's Get Info)? I would expect Preview to show the original capture date, but not Finder.
